Education and engagement sessions

The OHO is committed to fostering strong stakeholder relationships and promoting awareness of its role and functions. By actively collaborating with various stakeholders in the health care sector and the broader community, we strive to promote effective responses to complaints, address potential barriers to making a complaint and to promote awareness of the role of complaints in improving the safety and quality of health services.

Patient Safety and Quality Podcast - Office of the Health Ombudsman

We discuss the role and functions of the Health Ombudsman, the co-regulatory regime for registered health practitioners, and the complaint process, including referrals back to Hospital and Health Services on the Patient Safety and Quality Podcast.

Request an education or engagement session

The OHO offers free education and engagement sessions with consumers and health service providers to build and maintain public and health service provider confidence in Queensland’s health service complaints system.

While we can discuss standard topics, we prefer to tailor our sessions to best meet your audience’s needs.

Please describe which aspect of the OHO your organisation would like to learn more about e.g. how the OHO approaches health service complaints management, how the OHO operates with Ahpra in a coregulatory environment or how the OHO supports practitioners whose registration might be subject to conditions.

Please note: We will respond to your request within 2 weeks. If we are unable to commit to a particular request, we will endeavour to provide your required information in another format.
